Sorry everyone for not blogging for a while but I've been crazy busy with my classes this last week.
Let's get back to Twilight. I think everyone by now knows about the upcoming Twilight Film which comes out on November 21st. Keep your calendars marked!! I am so excited about this movie. Although I have seen Trailers of the movie since September, the other day I was watching Gossip Girls and actually saw the Twilight Trailer on the WB, WooHoo! I actually screamed when I saw it because I was so excited. From the many trailers I have seen it looks like it will be pretty accurate to the book.
When reading a book I always fantasize about what the characters look like and their voices. When I first saw the actors that were playing the Twilight characters I was unsure about a few. Robert Pattinson is playing Edward Cullen and I was ok with that because I think he is so HOT. Kristen Stewart is playing Bella, her appearance to me is pretty much right on but her voice is throwing me off. I don't know what it is but I don't like her voice. Taylor Lautner is playing Jacob Black. I am not a fan of who they picked to play Jacob because all I can envision him as is Shark Boy from the "The adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl." I also am not a fan of Elizabeth Reaser who will be playing Esme Cullen. She played Rebecca on Grey's Anatomy and I couldn't stand her.

I don't like Elizabeth Reaser either! Maybe it is our Grey's Anatomy experience with her?? Or is she just annoying? I am interested to see how we feel about her as Esme. I was thrown off by some of the actors they picked too. i felt they did not pick beautiful enough characters for the vampire girls - they are supposed to be gorgeous specimens and to me they are average compared to other actresses. I mean I understand Angelina Jolie is too old for the film because she would be perfect but I can think of a million other actresses that are prettier than what they picked. I guess the movie budget could not afford them maybe? I think they picked a good Jacob, but if they follow with the other books as films, I feel they are going to have to go with somebody else because Jacob gets to be almost 7 feet tall and HUGE. I hope this movie does justice to the book. I have a feeling the theaters are going to be full and there will be midnight showings at the theaters with people dressing up!
I have to admit, I was overall a little disappointed in the casting at first. Before Twilight, I didn't know who Robert Pattinson was. After researching him (aka googling his pictures about every day) I am hooked on him being Edward. At first I pictured someone a little more built and with darker hair maybe. But after seeing the Trailers and his gorgeous face I am now addicted to him. I have to agree with Becky on Bella. Her voice just does not match her face/character. A little deeper than I pictured Bella. But her appearance I think they nailed it.
As for the other actors casted. I am not a fan at all of who was picked to play Rosalie (Nikki Reed) or Alice (Ashley Green). In the movie posters their hair just looks horrible. They are suppose to be flawless and gorgeous. I think Nikki Reed and Ashley Green are both gorgeous but Nikki(Rosalie) her hairstyle does not go with the character and I think takes away from the beauty behind Rosalie's character, then the blonde dye job on Ashley Green (Alice) is horrible. I just feel they could have done a better job with their style. I was really disappointed to see how they developed these two characters images. Maybe the movie will portray them a little differently and they will grow on me. I ws a bit shocked too to see Elizabeth Reaser as Esme, but I have seen her in other films and have liked her playing other characters. I am a devoted Grey's fan and hated Rebecca on Grey's. Becky - maybe thats why you hate her so much as Esme? She was psycho. I think the actor playing Jacob is a bit cuter than I was picturing but still has that boyish look that I imagined him to have. Which now that know he was Lava Boy makes me laugh.
I'm so excited for the movie to come out. Trailer doesn't seem like it follows the book to the fullest extent but then again what movie ever really does? Bella and Edward seem pretty much the closest to what I was picturing. Bella is pretty but doesn't stand out from the crowd. Edward, is handsome (HOT is a better word), they type of guy you don't picture living in a small town and could catch anyone attention. As for Jacob, I didn't see Shark Boy and Lava Girl so I don't have that to go on but I did picture someone taller and I agree with Cherri Lynn they are going to have to get someone else to play him if they go forward with the other books, he's not tall enough or old enough to pass as Jacob as changes.
As soon as I found out they were going to do a movie on Twilight I was kind of obsessed and was looking stuff up on it pretty much everyday. At first I didn't like Robert as Edward but now as I was the trailers I think he will do a good job. I TOTALLY understand what you mean about Kristin's voice! I think she looks perfect for the role, but her voice is too serious or deep or something. I hate who is playing Esme and Rosalie. The girl playing Rosalie doesn't even have real blonde hair and doens't look pretty to me at all! I think someone like Taylor Swift, even though shes not an actress, would look great for that part. There's a guy in a movie "The Covenant" who I thought would make a good Jacob. I hope they pick someone super hot after the first movie to play Jacob cause Taylor just looks like a kid.
I cannot wait for the movie to come out! Only 21 more days!!!
I'm so excited for Twilight the movie! The first previews I saw didn't really seem to follow the book- they seemed to focus more on the battle between the Cullens and the nomads- but the longer previews are making me more happy. I think they'll focus more on the relationship between Edward and Bella than it first looked like.
I agree with everyone on some of the choices for the Cullens, they just don't seem beautiful enough and what is up with the girls' hair?! Hopefully it will look better in the movie than it does in the interviews and photos.
Edward isn't what I initially pictured, but he's grown on me and I love him now. Bella has a good look, but I agree her voice is weird. Charlie is not at all what I expected! The guy they picked is much younger than I pictured.
I'm so excited for it to come out! I just hope it doesn't let us down... too much (cuz movies from books usually do).
I just heard yesterday of some people already pre-ordering their tickets! I think we might have to get on that!!

Some girls in my Sunday School class brought me a copy of the Twilight movie soundtrack. I listened to it last night. It's really good! Love the first song by Muse, it just made me want to dance around the house. Bella's Song isn't what I expected, but it's still very pretty.
